For Amazon 3p sellers, sourcing is critical to your success.
While there are plenty of options to find new inventory to bring to the marketplace platform, some of those product
sources are far superior than others when it comes to protecting your account health.
I’ve been telling every seller who will listen that the trends I’m seeing point toward your needing to be
approved to sell the inventory you acquire.
You can accomplish this most easily if you are the manufacturer, if you source directly from the manufacturer,
if you private label, and via wholesale. If you are drop-shipping, selling closeouts, liquidations, oa or ra, you aren’t
in nearly as safe of position from an account protection perspective. I’ve seen this proven over and over again as I’ve
worked on account reinstatements and asin suspensions.
Having approval to sell means all the difference when countering rights owner complaints and inauthentic notifications.
If you are just getting started in finding new inventory or if you are trying to transition away from some of the riskier
sourcing methodologies, I can recommend looking at Thewholesaleformula.com/blog as a great and safe place to learn.
